Basic Equipment Operators Course

This course was developed specifically for Civil Support Team requirements of being able to operate and maintain CST survey section organic equipment. The course will cover material pertinent to downrange operation of air monitoring equipment, as well as detection and Identification equipment organic to a CST Survey Section and will include material in the following areas:

• 29 CFR 1910.120 air monitoring requirements

• Air Monitoring Equipment Overview

• Rae Systems Equipment Operation, Discussion and Application &PE

• Chemical Detection and Identification Equipment Overview

• FTIR Technology discussion, application and practical exercise 

• Raman Technology discussion, application and practical exercise 

• GCMS Technology discussion, application and practical exercise 

• Survey Section Entry Planning & practical exercise

• Post Entry Data File recovery

This course is intended for CST Survey section members, though it is available to all CST personnel, as well as military, government, and civilian organizations. It is a 5-day, 40-hour course (M-F) that is exportable to any CONUS location provided by the customer. The hosting CST will be required to have all survey equipment available for the class. Minimum class size is 8 students, maximum class size is 16 students. A certificate of completion is available from Aspects and Logistics LLC to those with organizational requirements.
